| What things have gone wrong with the car? | Not much for the price. Seat has poor back support. Road noise. | |
| General comments? | This car was my first car, then handed down to my sister, then my brother. The way we drive, we abuse our cars. But up until now we never had any engine problem at all. The only mechanical failure was the driver side window mechanism failing after hitting a large bump on the freeway and this is after 6 years of running in perfect condition. This car is so dependable that we would take it over a 97 Camry or 99 Accord for long trips. We have a rule of keeping cars for only 4 years but this one is a definite and surprising exception. Oh yea, it is still able to reach 90mph when needed. The only complain I have about it is the flat non supportive seat but I don't know if Toyota has changed the design since then. People usually buy cheap cars because they're strapped. Well, if you're one of them it doesn't get any better than this because you won't have to get another car for at least another 8 years. | |
