| What things have gone wrong with the car? | It's afraid of hills...especially with 2 or more people in the car. The tranny clunks when you dip below 50mph on the freeway and try to regain your speed to fast. The body leans too hard on fast turns and curved freeway ramps. It's like driving on Krispy Kreme tires with marshmellow shocks. | |
| General comments? | I have 120K miles, a few dents and dings...but it runs like a tank.My car was a rental car and has probably suffered tons of abuse. It was also pretty dinged up when I got it. (I was a desperate and poor college student.) This is a good buy if you need reliable A to B transportation to get to work. Don't expect to pick up any chicks or race any rice rockets. Finally...putting chrome rims and a spoiler on this car will not make it cool. | |
| Previous car | 2000 Ford Escort - I rented one for a few days on vacation. It was like driving a lawnmover. With four adults it moved through the streets with the swiftness of a drunken slug. Hopefully the Ford Focus is a better car. My little Corolla felt like a Cadill | |
