Add Your Review! Greatest Car In Its Class / AE100 Sedan

| | | General comments? | Greatest car in its class. Ran this car everyday, averaging speed of 120kph. Never left me. Ran it hard for five years, sold it after 240,000 kilos. I change oil almost every month - I believe that was all it needed. Changed oil pump once because the darn thing would not come off when we tried to chance cam and crankshaft seals. Ended up using a torch to burn off the timing belt pulley. In the process the oil pump was damaged. In Jamaica these cars are sought after like hot bread for use in the taxi business. Trust me, nutten - I meant nothing - can compare. One more thing - I changed only one ball joint during my period of ownership. | | | Engine and transmission | 1500 cc, 3 speed | | | Performance | Great, wonderful, superb | | | Reliability | Car knows nothing else | | | Comfort | Above average | | | Dealer | Von's Japanese Imports | | | Running costs (higher is cheaper) | Low Low | | | Distance when acquired | 53000+ kilos | | | Most recent distance | 240,000+ kilos | | | Previous car | Nissan Sunny | | | First year of ownership | 1998 | | | Most recent year of ownership | 2003 |
