| What things have gone wrong with the car? | Not to be negitive but: The alternator did quit on me. Apperantly that was the 2nd alternator in that car too. You can feel the wind blowing the car around on the highway sometimes. It can be disconcerting. Stereo system does suck and is difficult to improve. Had to replace most of the exhaust system. Fortuneatly not as expensive as some forigen exhausts I've seen (2nd time that was replaced too). Annoying and mysterious leak in the trunk every time it rained. Turned out to be the from the rear brakelight fixture. Made for a considerable mildew smell until it was found. Finally, and most noticable, is signifigant sun damage to the paint on hood | |
| General comments? | An excellent and relaible car. I have lived in the central and northern parts of New York (winters and all)and I've had the car for three years. I'm very happy with my car. I have put 33000 miles on it (up to 94000). Most serious repair needed was replacing the alternator. Apperantly it is a common problem with this model. | |
| Previous car | 1982 buick skylark - much more comfortable interior. Like driving a lazyboy chair with a couch behind it. Much more unrelable mechanically. A pandora's box of malfunctions. I'll never buy an america | |
