Corolla has been one of the most popular vehicles in automobile history since its production in 1966, earning itself the reputation of 'Best Selling Car in the World' and a firm family favourite. Over the years it has grown from strength to strength appealing to everyone because of its value for money, reliability, styling and safety.
1970 saw the arrival of a vehicle with a larger 1.2 litre engine. Between 1974 and 1977 masterpiece engineering contributed to it becoming the best selling car in the world, and 1984 saw the switch to front wheel drive and independent rear suspension. Moving to its current compact size in 1993, the Corolla picked up a host of awards along the way followed by the arrival of the new 1.8 litre engine in 1998.
